Personal Statement
I am very much interested in running track at the college level. I consider myself a good candidate because my love of the sport keeps me focused and motivated. In my junior year, I was one of the track and field team captains and I learned a few things about myself.
I realize that I am loyal to my teammates. I am dependable and I enjoy being part of a team. I enjoy our closeness, helping my teammates in whatever way I am can, and being a role model. I am easy to talk to because I listen well. I am true to myself and my teammates. Even though I personally like to win, it gives me greater pleasure when the team as a whole performs well.
I was really excited when our hard work paid off last year, and several members of the track and field team, including myself, were able to qualify for Regionals. I helped the 4x100m and 4x200m relay teams to qualify for Regionals, and they in turn, qualified for State. I was so proud of their accomplishment - representing Kenwood High School at the State Championship level.
I am excited about my upcoming track and field season because I can't wait to see what we will accomplish together!
