Akira Toriyama: Manga Artist and Game Designer

Akira Toriyama, a Japanese game and manga artist, has a net worth of $45 million. He started his career in an advertising agency before publishing his first manga, “Wonder Island,” in 1978. He gained popularity with his comedy series “Dr. Slump,” which won the Shogakukan Manga Award in 1981. However, Toriyama’s most famous work is “Dragon Ball,” which he began in 1984 and continued until 1995.

Toriyama has also designed several video game characters, including those in “Dragon Quest,” “Chrono Trigger,” and “Tobal No. 1.” Some of his mangas have been developed into anime series, such as “Dr. Slump,” “Dragon Quest,” and multiple installments of “Dragon Ball,” like “Dragon Ball Z” and “Dragon Ball GT.”

Aside from his work in manga and video games, Toriyama designed a one-person car called the QVOLT, which has a top speed of 18 miles per hour.
