This article contains the details of Caylee Anthony autopsy results. It was reported that Caylee was three years old at the time she went missing on July 15, 2008.

Caylee’s grandmother, Cindy Anthony, reported that her granddaughter went missing for about 31 days. She also said her whereabouts were unknown.

A few months before Caylee’s disappearance, her mother, Casey Anthony, decided to take her daughter on vacation. However, reaching there, she left her daughter with a woman, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.

Casey told the police that Zenaida was involved in her daughter’s kidnap. During the investigation, Casey and her parents told different stories

Zenaida was taken under police custody, but the police couldn’t find any evidence to prove that she was involved in Caylee’s disappearance. The police then arrested Caylee’s mother, Casey, and on July 16, 2008, she was charged with child neglect.

According to strong sources, no clue or lead could confirm Caylee’s whereabouts. Orange County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office on September 1, 2008, said that there is a high chance that Caylee might be dead.

Casey provided false statements in the investigation of Caylee’s disappearance, according to the police. They also said that Casey was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated abuse, aggravated manslaughter, and four counts of providing false statements.

Later, skeletal remains were found about a mile away from Cindy and George Anthony’s home. The skeletal remains belonged to a child, making everyone assume it was Caylee.

According to sources, an autopsy was performed on the skeletal body to confirm the identity. Authorities reported on December 19, 2008, that the medical examiner confirmed that the body was Caylee’s.

Medical examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia concluded in Caylee’s autopsy that the death was a case of homicide.

Caylee Anthony’s autopsy result shows that her remains were discovered in a heavily wooded location and were found to be “intermixed with two plastic trash bags and a canvas laundry-type bag.”

Dr. Jan also said that her remains were scattered all around the area. Some remains were found near the wildlife. Caylee’s body remains were in a heavily wooded area for around six months, and no soft tissue was left on her bones.

Her autopsy report revealed that her spinal cord and other attached bones to it were found a few feet away from the plastic bags. Her skull and other bones were scattered in different areas.

Dr. Jan also said that roots were grown around the plastic bag and some bones, which led to the assumption that she was deceased at the time she went missing. Her body decomposition also led to the same speculation.

Dr. Jan wrote in Caylee Anthony’s autopsy result that she was unable to find any trauma or injuries on the bones. She added that a toxicology test was performed on the hair samples collected from the place her body was discovered.

The test was performed to check whether she was drugged or intoxicated during the time she died. But there was no trace in her system. She said she found duct tape on her lower facial area, which was holding her jaw.
