TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Legal and Human Rights Deputy Minister Denny Indrayana stated that Corruptor Hunter Taskforce remains looking for Bapindo corruption suspect Eddy Tansil's whereabouts.
However, Denny refused to comment any recent development on the attempt to arrest the most anticipated fugitive. "We cannot mention detail information as it will interrupt the process," he said. Deputy VII at Coordinating Minister of Politic, Law, and Security at Communication, Information, and Official Coordination Agus R. Barnas, also refused to comment on Eddy Tansil's pursuit. "This is classified, not for all eyes," said Agus.
Eddy Tansil was previously sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment, along with Rp30 million of fine and Rp500 billion of reimbursement. He was also obliged to return State's loss over Rp1.3 trillion, before escaping Cipinang Penitentiary back in May 4, 1996.
