Despite how things worked out for Sister Wives, Peacock is bringing polyamory to our screens with a brand new dating show. Couple to Throuple kicked off on February 8. The show sees singles and couples navigate their relationships and decide if they want to remain a couple or become a throuple. Jonathan Intriago is one of the singles appearing in season 1.
The all-new Peacock show welcomes four curious couples and 14 singles to spend time in a paradise location together. As Couple to Throuple begins, emotions are already running high when some participants’ boundaries are crossed. Ashmal Ali and Rehman Bhatti are one of the show’s couples, and they invite Jonathan to explore more aspects of their relationship.
Meet Couple to Throuple star Jonathan
Jonathan Intriago hails from New York and is 27 years old.
He’s on Instagram at @jonintriago with over 25k followers and writes in his bio he’s a “public figure.”
After being chosen by Ashmal and Rehman to join their couple, the trio had to complete an “intimacy check” led by the show’s host Scott Evans and relationship expert, Shamyra Howard.
Rehman was “visibly uncomfortable” according to his partner, and he said he could “feel his energy shifting” because he “knows him so well.”
The show already began causing issues for the two from episode 1 as they went into the series feeling super “confident” about their relationship.

Fans feel for Jonathan
The purpose of Couple to Throuple is for existing couples to work out whether they’d be open to the idea of polygamy or if they’d rather stick to monogamy.
After spending some time with Jonathan, Ashmal and Rehman, opted to carry on their journey without him which angered some fans.
One person tweeted via X (Twitter): “So wait they are just done with Jonathan?!?!! This is a DISGRACE omg. Hopefully, they realize they made a mistake and bring him back bc this is crazy.”
Another echoed the same thoughts, writing: “I’m so happy Jonathan is getting away from them. He’s a beautiful man and deserve nothing but love and to be someone only choice, what’s the Instagram at this point?”
Jonathan is social media savvy
Before joining the Couple to Throuple cast, Jonathan already had some experience of having a fanbase of sorts.
The Peacock star has 5.2 million likes on TikTok as well as almost 400,000 followers (@jonintriago).
Jonathan often shares all kinds of elements of his life online. He posts ‘get ready with me videos’ as well as his experience getting Botox for the first time, and how he went to Turkey to get a hair transplant earlier this year.
