Personal Statement
My name is Derek G. Vogel.
I am a Senior and play football for University High School (UHS) in Orange City, Florida (Division 8A). Our team finished the season 8-2 for the first time in the football program, reversing the previous year's 2-8 record. My huge blocks as as FB resulted in the majority of the offensive scores this year. I play FB and LB. I am a very versatile, coachable athlete with a lot of character.
As an academic athlete, my academics are a priority. I take honors classes and I am in the STEM academy at UHS. I constantly strive to become smarter, stronger, and faster - never settling for less.
Together with my football experience, my love of the game, and my academic resume, I am excited to play football at the college level.
