The Tennessee Titans have reportedly informed Derrick Henry that they aren't planning on trading him ahead of the NFL's Oct. 31 deadline, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

While Schefter noted that the possibility of him being moved isn't completely off the table, the Titans are not actively shopping the three-time Pro Bowl running back.

Despite Tennessee's 2-4 record in 2023, Henry has rushed for 425 yards on 98 carries while finding the end zone three times.

While his production has slipped a bit compared to recent years, Henry is still one of the league's better running backs who is nearly impossible to stop in short-yardage situations.

However, he's no longer a one-man show in Tennessee's backfield.

The Titans have recently been incorporating rookie Tyjae Spears into the offense. The third-round pick has flashed an ability to be just as impactful in the passing game as he is on the ground, opening up more options for Tennessee's offense.

Over the past four weeks, Spears has recorded 20 carries and 12 catches while Henry has tallied 58 carries and six receptions.

With the 22-year-old's early productivity combined with Henry currently playing in the final season of a four-year contract, trade rumors have surrounded the two-time rushing champion for months.

Schefter reported that there would be several hoops to jump through for any team looking to acquire Henry.

"League sources still believe there is a chance Henry could be traded, though there is not as much interest in him across the NFL because of his age, production, expiring contract and cost for the rest of this season," he said.

The former Offensive Player of the Year will be turning 30 years old in January and is due to earn $6.4 million for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
