My sources say that Doug Flutie former Bears, Patriots, Bills and Chargers quarterback is coming out of retirement to replace an injured Tom Brady. Brady who has led the Patriots to numerable Super bowls injured his left knee Sunday and will have to have  season ending surgery to repair it. Hewill be out for the remainder of the 2008 season.

Doug Flutie who has no Superbowl rings to his name has numerous CFL championships. He was voted #1 in CFL's top 50 players of all time in 2006 and was voted into The College Sports and Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. He is also famous for the "Hail Flutie" play where he threw a game winning pass in a B.C. vs. Miami game on November 27, 1989.

The Patriots have been in touch with Flutie after the announcement of Tom Brady's season ending injury. Check back later for updates.
