Edith Flagg Net Worth: $100 Million

Edith Flagg was a Romanian-born fashion designer who fled Austria at the age of 19 to escape the Nazis. She and her family later relocated to the United States in the 1940s, where she launched her successful women’s fashion brand, Edith Flagg, Inc. in 1956. The line was well known for its popular dresses and she famously brought polyester to America after finding the fabric in Switzerland.

Flagg and her husband were also members of the Advisory Board of Directors of Manufacturers Bank, and both wrote articles and editorials for Women’s Wear Daily and California Apparel News, as well as a weekly column called “By the Way”.

She passed away in 2014 at the age of 94, but her legacy lives on through her grandson, Josh Flagg, who is currently featured on the reality series Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. Flagg was also known for her philanthropic works, regularly donating to the United Jewish Welfare Fund and the City of Hope private hospital in California. She even donated the proceeds from her book A Simple Girl: Stories My Grandmother Told Me to the Jewish Federation after retiring in 2000 to devote herself to philanthropy full-time.
