Darcey Silva’s lips has fans questioning what happened to her in the recent episode of Darcey & Stacey. The TLC twin sisters are known for their cosmetic procedures, but why do they look numb?
They are best known for getting matching everything: from their hair extensions, to their breast size and facial procedures. The recent season showed them travelling to Turkey to undergo surgery, including nose jobs.
However, Darcey’s lips have become a cause for concern as her confessionals show her pout not moving quite as much as it used to when she speaks. Let’s calm fan’s nerves and find out why.
Fans react to Darcey’s lips
Since Season 2 of Darcey & Stacey began airing on TLC, viewers noticed that Darcey’s lips don’t appear to move as much. Some assume it could be down to fillers, while others are genuinely concerned about what has changed.
Looking on Twitter, it’s clear that the majority have very strong opinions about her mouth. Some have shared their concerns over on the TLC Instagram, under a particular teaser clip of the February 14th episode.
A worried fan wrote on in the TLC Instagram page comments: “Was her mouth still numb during interviews? Her mouth looks weird and she’s lisping. Just curious if it’s temporary?“
Another said: “I love you two and I am not trying to be mean but did you have a stroke or something?” The main concern among viewers appeared to be Darcey’s bottom lip during the confessional scenes.

What happened to Ms. Silva’s mouth?
Darcey has had lip fillers, meaning it is likely that her mouth may have still been numb shortly after undergoing a procedure. There has been no confirmation about having a stroke, which was a concern among fans.
Although the numbing feeling usually goes away within a few hours after treatment, some people who have undergone filler in their lips have reported still being unable to feel them completely after a few days.
Darcey’s lips have now become bigger than they have ever been, and it’s not just filler that she’s had. A new lip colour was also injected into her pout, which may have also contributed to the numbness as a needle would have been used.
The twins both had their lips lifted during their surgery procedure. Darcey in particular tagged the business who done the lip blushing on her mouth, and appeared pretty happy with how it all went.

The TLC star’s surgery explored
The Silva twins have significantly changed their breasts, body shape and hair over time. While they were introduced to TLC as having had plastic surgery already, there was once a time when they were totally natural.
However, they originally have much darker hair, a smaller chest area and naturally have prominent cheek bones. Their lips less full before undergoing cosmetic procedures, with much less defined facial features.
During the first two seasons, Darcey and Stacey appeared to have very blonde hair, and have continued to stick to the same colour while getting various extension appointments.
But the most dramatic change is clearly in their facial appearance. Naturally, they have much more petite figures than the curvier look that they portray nowadays.
