sMothered season 5 is in full swing and while one couple is in the midst of a super exciting time expanding their family, they’re also dealing with a bizarre dynamic of having a close-knit mother-in-law on board. As Trevor, India and DeLeesa’s time on the show plays out, fans who followed her from The Circle season 2 are really hoping the storyline is “fake.”
TLC‘s always the go-to network to learn something new and sMothered brings just that this January. Trevor and his wife, DeLeesa St. Agathe, are expecting a baby any minute on the reality TV series. DeLeesa’s stress levels are rising to dangerous levels. But, Trevor is emotional over asking his mom-in-law to move out.
DeLeesa won The Circle season 2
sMothered isn’t DeLeesa’s first venture into the world of TV.
She previously appeared on Netflix’s The Circle season 2 and won the whole show.
DeLeesa, 35, ‘catfished’ as her husband, Trevor, 37, and bagged herself $100,000.
Since rising to Netflix fame, DeLeesa raked in many followers who are now watching her life play out on sMothered.
Trevor also later appeared on The Circle season 4 as a contestant and placed second overall. Speaking of her husband, DeLeesa explained to Tudum they’re “super competitive” with one another.
She added: “…when Trevor did the show, he actually was let go from his job because he had to take that time off. As parents, we have two little girls we have to take care of, so we work really hard. We have mouths to feed, and we’re going to do whatever we have to do to make sure our family is good.”
Fans pray it’s ‘fake’
sMothered season 5 introduces viewers to DeLeesa, Trevor, and India’s dynamic.
DeLeesa explains how her husband and mom are “best friends” who “have the most weird, disgusting relationship” she’s ever seen.
She adds she “can’t stand it” especially because she and her mother “don’t get along.”
The TLC star is heavily pregnant and already has two toddlers to look after.
Meanwhile, India, 59, has moved her life from New York to live in Atlanta, Georgia with the family.
Trevor admits it was “his idea” for India to move. He had hopes of “helping them get closer,” but it adds: “Unfortunately it hasn’t worked at all.”
Taking to TLC’s Instagram post, some fans were adamant the whole set-up couldn’t be real, writing: “This has to be fake because ain’t no way in hell.”
More said they “hoped” it wasn’t real, and that they would have asked the mother in law to move out.

Family is ‘beautiful’
Since filming sMothered, DeLeesa and Trevor have welcomed their new arrival.
The reality stars are now parents to three girls. DeLeesa writes on IG she’ll be “raising 3 queens that will have each other’s back no matter what!”
The couple has had people taking to the comments section of their recent posts to share their thoughts of them being a “beautiful” family.
Judging by the snaps, they’re still happily together. One post reads: “I love my man and our lil family. We ain’t perfect, but we forever good.”
DeLeesa wrote in the caption: “Also I think we need to dress up more as a family cus whew the slay.”
