Gary Rollins: The CEO of Rollins Inc. with a Net Worth of $2.5 Billion

Gary Rollins is the CEO of Rollins Inc., a global pest control company founded by his family in 1948. The Rollins family is worth an estimated $7.8 billion, making them the 33rd richest family in the United States.

Despite their immense wealth, the Rollins family has been plagued by dysfunction and legal battles. Gary’s four grandchildren have sued him and his brother Randall Rollins, a board member, for access to family trusts and holding companies worth nearly $3 billion.

Rollins Inc. grew from Rollins Broadcasting to include a television station, radio stations, Western Pest Services, and Orkin, Inc. The third generation of the Rollins family includes Glen, who was fired as the president of Orkin after filing a lawsuit against his family members.

Gary’s wife Ruth filed for divorce after 45 years of marriage, siding with her children in the legal battles. Gary and Randall Rollins are the only family members with shares in the company and are also majority shareholders in the oil and gas company RPC Inc.

Despite the family drama, Gary Rollins remains a wealthy and successful businessman, with 14.3 million shares of Rollins Inc. common stock worth about $243 million and ownership of 15.6 million shares of RPC Inc.
