Personal Statement

Since I was a little girl at the age of 6, I have dreamed of playing collegiate basketball. I have worked extremely hard and played countless years of basketball to become an elite player. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life and I'm so excited for it!

My primary role in basketball has been a point guard but I've also played shooting guard as well. I have fantastic ball handling skills with either hand, handle pressure very well, and can shoot the three ball as well as drive to the hoop and score. I have a strong work ethic, am a team player and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players on and off the court.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a 3.5 GPA. I am in Running Start at Clark College this year. I am also on the Green Team at school and participate in Young Life outside of school. I volunteer at local youth basketball camps and really enjoy helping children.

I want to attend a college where I can get a Kinesiology Degree and later a Physical Therapy Degree while playing the game that I love! I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a team leader, play high level basketball and get a fantastic college education, while making my parents & coaches proud!
