After making it through the first iconic game of the show, Red Light, Green Light, Squid Game: The Challenge star Stephen Lomas formed an “automatic alliance” with his “mullet brother,” Kyle. But, later in the show, he ends up losing “half of his alliance” in one of the challenges.
Speaking during Squid Game: The Challenge, Stephen, who is Player 243, explained that he wants to bag himself the millions of dollars up for grabs, but that he needs to “make some friends,” to make it through the show.

By episode 2 of the Squid Game spin-off show, Stephen is a member of the Gganbu alliance.
Combining strength and wisdom with its members being young and old, the “gang” was ready to tackle any potential upcoming challenges such as tug-of-war.
Stephen, 30, works as a moving company owner and hails from Missouri.

Squid Game star talks childhood
Player 243 opens up about his family life during episode 3 of the show.
In a confessional, he explains that he comes from a big family but had “no stability or direction” growing up.
He’s one of nine children and added that his parents began having children at a young age: “Way too early to be having kids.”
Stephen went on to add that he’s not close with his parents these days: “We’ve been homeless, we’ve been living in cars. We weren’t even able to eat every night.”

Stephen has a family of his own
Although Stephen is new to Netflix‘s Squid Game: The Challenge, he’s “instantly recognizable” to some viewers.
He’s a TikTok star with 1.3 million followers. He and his partner, Alix, are content creators and they star alongside their two children in their videos.
The family of four take to TikTok to share funny clips, challenges and videos about their everyday life.
