We pause to pay tribute to the precious memory of James DeLoatch, Jr.

A TIME TO BE BORN: On July 15, 1943 a baby was born in Norfolk, Virginia. He was given the name of James DeLoatch, Jr.
by his parents, Ruth DeLoatch and James DeLoatch, Sr.

A TIME TO GROW: James spent his early years growing up and
was educated in the Norfolk Public School system. He spent his time with his relatives and friends.

A TIME TO EMBRACE: James met and fell in love with his future wife and they were married in 1993 and shared a blessed union for 25 years.

A TIME TO WORK: James was a dedicated employee of Qualex (formerly named Color Craft) for over 30 years. After his retirement, James dedicated his time to paper delivery for Virginia Pilot.

A TIME WITH FAMILY: James enjoyed time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed
family gathering. His extended family included many friends that he has known for many years.

A TIME TO PLAY: James enjoyed fishing, local flea-markets and working hours to perfect his well-manicure yard!

A TIME TO CRY: James was predeceased by his parents as well as his sister, Rosa L. Britt and her husband, Robert L. Britt.

A TIME TO DIE: On Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Norfolk, Virginia in the comfort of his home, James closed his eyes in serenity and peace, and walked into the arms of Jesus.

A TIME OF CHERISHING: James DeLoatch, Jr., leaves behind to carry on his love and memory of those who cherished him the most: his devoted wife B. Faye DeLoatch; three daughters, Wanda Smith, Carmilla Luke (Kenneth) and Karen Abrams; three sons, Michael Corprew, James DeLoatch, II (Mildred), and Kevin DeLoatch (Vickie); two stepdaughters, Dessiree Pearson (Fred) and Sheana Brown; one stepson, Melton Brown, III; seventeen grandchildren, Darrius DeLoatch, Andrew Smith, Quinton DeLoatch, Andrew DeLoatch, Serena Abrams, Rhamel Young, Derek Robinson-DeLoatch (April), Khristopher Johnson-DeLoatch, Stefan Young, Parris DeLoatch, Spenser Davis, Malik Davis (Kjuanai), Amber Parker, Kyree Brown, Jyrese Brown, Diamond Fields, and Saviere Brown-Jones; eight great grandchildren, Corrine Young, Nimere Robinson, Brooklyn Adams, Hope Davis; King Zion Davis, Ava Davis, and Meilani Davis.
