Walters was born on June 13, 1969, in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Marblehead. After finishing high school, he attended New York University where he studied film for two years. He also took acting lessons at The Actors Space in New York City. Walters was discovered by a casting agent while working at a bank, and he appeared in three Levi’s 501 Jeans commercials. He later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting and music.
Walters landed his big break in 1992 when Aaron Spelling cast him as the lead on the Fox series “The Heights”. After the show was canceled, Spelling created a role specifically for Walters on his popular series “Beverly Hills, 90210”. Walters played the role of Ray Pruit, the boyfriend of Donna (played by Tori Spelling).
After retiring from acting, Walters pursued a career as a paramedic. He received training, certification, and employment from the Los Angeles County Fire Department as a firefighter/paramedic. He is currently focused on his family and career with the fire department.
