Nick and Vanessa Lachey officially announced on February 12th, 2022 that the “pods are open”! A brand new season of Love is Blind dropped on Netflix and thirty singletons are on their way to potentially find the person they’re going to marry and spend the rest of their life with.
For 10 days, the men and women get to know one another before deciding who to marry – without ever seeing them. Then comes the honeymoon and moving in together. Love is Blind is pretty much a fast-track to either love or disaster for some participants.

Jarrette Jones explains a traumatic incident
Jarrette Jones is 31 years old, he works as a health care consultant and lives in Chicago.
Speaking on Love is Blind he explained that he had endured a traumatic event a year prior to filming.
Jarrette said: “I spent about a week being in the ICU by myself.”
He continued in episode 2: “I had an issue with someone who I thought was a really close friend of mine. there had been friction between us for quite some time. we had had like an issue, I never saw the knife in his hand, I was stabbed. Yeah, I end up passing out, that’s all I remember.“
The next day Jarrette woke up in hospital. Speaking to Iyanna, he added: “I haven’t had anybody there to go through this with“.
Love is Blind: What are keloids?
Love is Blind episode 4 sees the affection and intimacy turned up a notch as the couples head to Mexico on their honeymoon.
Iyanna and Jarrette gave each other massages while on holiday. While giving Jarrette his massage, Iyanna asked: “You really can’t feel over here?” talking about his stomach and Jarrette replied: “I’ve got some hard tissue, some soft tissue“.
Iyanna said: “I bet it didn’t help that you had keloids” and Jarrette added: “I don’t know what it would look like if I didn’t have keloids“.
Keloids are enlarged, raised scars that occur after the skin has healed from an injury. Given Jarrette’s life-threatening incident last year, it makes sense that he’d now have a keloid scar on his stomach.
