The theme of summer 2022 is obviously go big or go home. And not just in the realm of vacations (because we're absolutely all for splurging on a getaway this time of year), but also in the world of fashion. Big shoes! Big tote bags! And… big pants!

Big, bold, billowy bottoms have been trending for a while, and we can safely say a good chunk of Hollywood's most fashionable have now tested out the trend. Katie Holmes wore perhaps the biggest pants in the game while walking around NYC back in April, and supermodels like Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid are also fans of the go-big-or-go-home bottoms. And now, we officially have new mom Jennifer Lawrence on board with oversized pants as well.

Lawrence was spotted walking around Los Angeles wearing a low-key look that we'll be recreating all summer long. Her chill ensemble consisted of a relaxed-fitting graphic tee, pair of light-wash, baggy bottoms that are so cool (in more ways than one, BTW!), and strappy sandals that are undeniably ideal for the season ahead.

Baggy bottoms obviously have an air of Y2K nostalgia to them — as in, any boy band from that era absolutely rocked these jeans (looking at you, NSYNC), but the pants trend is also literally cool(ing). The breezy silhouette allows for ample airflow, ensuring you don't overheat while wearing denim in the summertime.

Of course, Lawrence's strappy sandals can't be forgotten, either. The sensible flats are ideal for long days on your feet, and the strappy design keeps them totally eye-catching, even when worn with big, billowy pants that cover them up — a footwear win!
