John Lloyd Young is an American actor and singer who won a Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical in 2006 for starring as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys on Broadway. Born in Sacramento, California in July 1975, he has also won a Drama Desk Award, Theatre World Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award for his performance in the same role.
John Lloyd Young has appeared in film versions of Oy Vey! My Son Is Gay!! and Jersey Boys, as well as in episodes of TV series Law & Order, Glee, and Vegas. He released his debut studio album My Turn… in 2012 and is involved with several charities.
In addition to his successful career in the entertainment industry, John Lloyd Young was appointed to the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities by President Barack Obama. However, he resigned from this position due to disagreements with President Donald Trump.
