Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio first made an appearance on television in 2006 during the seventeenth season of The Real World, before he began hosting 1st Look on NBC in 2018.
After appearing on the 33rd season of The Challenge, Bananas and fellow contestant Morgan Willett started a whirlwind romance that eventually blossomed into a full-fledged relationship.
After filming, they traveled together for two weeks, further solidifying their bond and linking their experience with reality television. Since then, they have become one of the most beloved couples to arise from the realm of reality TV.
They both first met in Big bother, and the couple quickly bonded in War of the Worlds season 33.
In 2019, the couple shared numerous photos when they went on their vacation trips and were also spotted on numerous occasions together.
After had been spending quality time together for two years, the ex-couple split news broke; she said in September 2021, “I’ve always tried my best to be an open book and after seeing everything circulate over the internet, I felt like I should let you all know that Johnny and I are no longer together,”
After one week Willet revealed in an interview with US magazine that Johny Bananas cheated on her.
“The person I truly loved more than anything else cheated on me and I found out and I had to leave. I don’t know what else to say but I physically hurt,” she wrote via Instagram. “I have been able to distract myself with beautiful beaches and hikes and my amazing family, but now I have to go back to reality. And if I’m being honest, I’m scared. I don’t know when I’ll stop hurting? When will I stop missing someone? What if I never stop replaying things in my head? When do I become angry?? I don’t want to live my life angry.”

In February 2022, Natalie Negrotti and an unnamed suitor captured the hearts of netizens after a picture from their romantic sushi date in New York was reposted on “The Challenge” official Instagram account.
Despite questions about the nature of their relationship, rumors were quickly put to rest when actor Jay Mewes jokingly commented on the photo with his signature dark humor.
Previously, numerous sources reported that Negrotti and Banans were dating, but Johnny Cleared up any misconceptions regarding his connection to Negrotti and it declared all rumors about their relationship.
John Bananas was also involved in a relationship with Olympic champion Hannah Teeter. They both dated from 2012 to December 2017.
