Master Tesfatsion of the Washington Post reported Reed was actually limited in practice on Sept. 17. Reed made seven receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown in Week 1's loss to the Miami Dolphins

A talented pass-catcher, Reed has spent much his NFL career mired in injury issues. He has missed 12 of a possible 33 regular-season games since being selected No. 85 overall in 2013. Even when Reed was in the lineup last season, he was rarely healthy. He was consistently listed on the injury report and also had offseason knee surgery.

“Right now I’m staying positive and I feel like the injuries are in my past and I’m moving on,” Reed told Stephen Czarda of the team's official website in training camp. “I just need to focus on maintenance of my body. I won’t let nagging injuries catch up to me. I’ve made some changes, and I’ll be ready.”
