Personal Statement

When I started playing volleyball in fourth grade, I was the tallest on my team, so, naturally, I was a hitter. It wasn't until 12s that my coach noticed my hands and my potential as a setter. I am so thankful my 12s coach made me a setter because I have my passion in this position. Being a setter gives me purpose as a teammate. I have to do my best so my hitters can perform their best. I love elevating those around me by never giving up and fighting with heart for my teammates.

I want to continue following my passion by playing volleyball at the collegiate level. I strive for DII, NAIA, or DIII because I also want to focus on my academic career. I intend on majoring in Psychology. My goal as a college athlete is to positively affect my team and my school. I want to leave my mark and better any environment I am in.
