Kim Kardashian rang in her 43rd birthday with her closest girl pals but fans never expected to see one celebrity: Ivanka Trump.
The Kardashians are known for their over-the-top birthday parties for their kids, but Kim Kardashian kept it laidback for her own 43rd birthday bash. The reality star and her closest friends dressed to the nines for an intimate dinner, all while sporting paper Kim face masks. Guests included Hailey Bieber and Steph Shep, while Ivanka Trump was the most surprising guest of all.
Kim Kardashian ‘hit jackpot’ with close friend Ivanka Trump
On Sunday, the Skims founder uploaded several highlights from her birthday party in Los Angeles, with one image showing Kim posing next to a grinning Ivana.
“So blessed to have hit the jackpot of friends!” Kim captioned. “I couldn’t have ever dreamed I would be so lucky to call these girls my friends. Thank you for all the birthday love.”
The entrepreneur wore a body-hugging red dress with ruching and tie details, while the majority of her guests sported white and black, including Trump. The 41-year-old donned a white sequin two-piece consisting of a long sleeve crop top and a skirt with a thigh-high slit.
Ivana’s attendance came as a surprise to fans as she isn’t a regular in the Kardashians’ social media uploads. Kim is seemingly the only family member with a close relationship with Trump; her sisters nor Kris follow Ivana on Instagram.

Kardashian fans aren’t on board with the friendship, as you can tell from the following Insta comments:
“Really Ivanka? The hypocrisy and disgust!” one said.
“Is that….. Ivanka?” a second person added.
Another user even called it an “Ivanka jumpscare”.
Kim Kardashian and Ivanka Trump’s friendship explored
The exact beginnings of their friendship are unclear but the earliest record of the women together was Ivanka’s mention of Kim and Kanye West during her People interview about the 2014 Met Gala. Kim and Ye, who were married at the time, were in attendance.
Kim was also a spectator at Donald Trump’s speech about criminal justice reform, sitting beside Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, in June 2019.
Ye was involved in his antisemitism controversy in October 2022, and even though Kushner is Jewish, it seems that Kim did not let his ex-husband’s actions affect her friendship with Ivanka. The rapper also blasted Jared’s younger brother, Josh, for owning 10 per cent of Skims, which West claims he created with his ex.
“F*** Josh Kushner,” Ye wrote in a deleted Instagram post. He also posted: “JARED WAS HOLDING TRUMP BACK.”
Kourtney Kardashian skips birthday party due to ‘bed rest’
If you’re wondering whether Kourtney Kardashian has truly been excluded from the clan – as well as Kim’s “No Kourtney chat” – don’t worry, the oldest sibling is on good terms with the family.
Kourtney, who is currently pregnant with a baby boy, skipped Kim’s birthday party as she is currently on bed rest.
“Kourt I’m jumping in bed with you next week for our bed rest picnic,” Kim revealed.
It comes nearly two months after Kardashian-Barker had a pregnancy scare that involved her unborn baby needing surgery.
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery,” she shared.
