After much anticipation, Love Island All Stars finally arrived on ITV this January. The hit dating show kicked off on Monday, January 15, and features a cast of familiar faces. The All Stars contestants appeared on past Love Island seasons. Now, they’re looking for a second shot at romance.

Love Island fans were privy to some of the cast members heading into All Stars ahead of episode 1. Series 1’s Hannah Elizabeth, Anton Danyluk from series 5, series 7 star Toby Aromolaran, and many more ITV celebs are now back in the villa. While viewers already knew exes Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish would be reunited in episode 1, no one was prepared for Callum Jones, 27, and Molly Smith, 29, to meet again on screen.

Love Island’s Molly and Callum

Love Island brings some surprises out of the bag right from the word go on its new All Stars spin-off this January.

Throwing it back to Love Island series 6, Molly Smith arrived as a Casa Amor bombshell. Now, she’s making another unexpected appearance on the reality TV show.

Molly and Callum met during the Casa Amor episodes and quickly became fan favorites.

Their romance blossomed in 2020, but now they’re both appearing on All Stars as singletons.

Couple split last year

After Molly and Callum’s Love Island series 6 romance, the two ended up in a long-term relationship.

They were together for three years and had marriage rumors swirling but split last September.

At the time, The Sun reported Callum moved out and the two split custody of their dogs.

A source told them: “They’re trying to stay friends – they were together for over three years – but it’s difficult. I think in the end, Molly wanted to get engaged and that didn’t happen.”

All Stars reunites exes

Just like a toxic relationship that sees couples keep going back to each other, a matter of months after their split, Love Island’s Molly and Callum are reunited on All Stars.

The former lovebirds, who both hail from Manchester, were in a serious relationship. So it made perfect sense for them to appear pretty shocked when they were both revealed as the episode 1 bombshells.

Some fans are tweeting via X (Twitter) Callum’s been “done dirty” by Love Island as his ex appeared on the show: “Love Island did Callum dirty! Ngl I was falling asleep until Molly walked in, then I started howling at the tv.”

More expressed their total shock at the exes being reunited on the show. Someone joked on X: “…The producers chose violence this season.”

However, some avid fans of the series are convinced their ‘reunion’ on-screen is all just a big “publicity stunt.”

One tweeted: “Sorry but I don’t think Molly and Callum ever split up… they we’re together for 3 years and only recently split up… this is one big publicity stunt. Love Island as per usual faking drama.”
