Lachlan McLean is the Made in Chelsea (MIC) newbie whose Instagram shows just how passionate he is about sports. The “vegan athlete” is now mingling with the Kings Road clan on his home turf in Sydney, Australia. He’s one of several Aussie stars making their reality TV mark on MIC.
He’s already retired at age 27, yet it all seems to be worth it as Lachlan is now up and close with the poshest people on E4. The Made in Chelsea star is a singleton who was privately educated at one of Sydney’s most affluent boys schools. So there’s not really a doubt whether he’ll fit in with them…
Who is MIC’s Lachlan McLean?
Lachlan McLean joins the Made in Chelsea Sydney cast. He lives in Jervis Bay, North Sydney, Australia, as a puppy parent to two fluffy dogs, and has three brothers who restore cars: Jackson, Ryan, and Benjamin.
The model and influencer says he’s happily single but open to love and companionship if it finds him, Heat World reports. He also describes himself as a “lover boy” but has had commitment issues in the past.

Made in Chelsea star was a soccer player
Lachlan McLean on Made in Chelsea was a soccer player. Now 27, he’s retired from the sport, in which he played as a forward. He began his collegiate career in 2016, moving to the United States for work.
He made the move after failing to secure a spot with an A-League team. He attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and played for four years with the men’s soccer program.
Lachlan ended up earning Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman team honours in his first season and Academic All-Mid-American Conference honours in his senior year.
In February 2020, he was signed by Greenville Triumph, before moving to Northern Colorado Hailstorm in 2021. After the 2022 season, the team declined his contract, and he retired in January 2023.

Lachlan McLean proudly states in his Instagram bio he is a “vegan athlete”. Although he’s left his soccer career behind, he is super passionate about sports, and “made gains he never thought possible”.
He made a major body transformation over the last year, with more time to train in the gym following the end of his sporting job. Lachlan is either playing golf or in the gym, but also enjoys a good party!
