Marlon Wayans got into a warm contention with Joined Carriers because of an occurrence at the Denver Global Air terminal.

Wayans shared his account of the incident on Instagram, claiming that a gate attendant told him he had too many bags to board his plane, ultimately leading to a fine.

He expressed his frustration, stating, “Most agents are always love, but every now and then you come across BAD PEOPLE. This was one of them.

According to the airline, the customer was informed that he would have to gate-check his bag, but instead, he allegedly pushed past a United employee at the jet bridge in an attempt to board the aircraft. 

The spokesperson also revealed that the customer did not end up flying with United to his intended destination after the incident occurred.

Confirming the events, the Denver Police Department issued Wayans a ticket for disturbing the peace, as confirmed by their communications technician, Jay Casillas. 

Wayans reportedly attended court on July 11 to address the charges United Airlines pressed against him.

However, the actor took to social media to deny any physical interaction with the gate agent, stating, “The video clearly shows I never touched him. He was desperate to try to have some authority.”

Wayans further explained his perspective, stating that he complied with the gate agent’s request to consolidate his bags. 

After doing so, he picked up his ticket from the counter and proceeded to board the plane.

Unfortunately, Wayans missed his stand-up comedy shows in Kansas City, Missouri, due to the ordeal, resulting in financial losses. 

He expressed his frustration, demanding compensation for the missed shows and an apology from United Airlines, emphasizing, “This was the highest level of disrespect and everyone should avoid it.”

In one of his posts, Wayans also highlighted the broader issue of racism and classism, asserting that black people experience various forms of discrimination. 

He vowed not to tolerate such treatment, especially over a bag.

A video shared by Wayans captured his claim that United’s corporate line contacted him the following day, where they defended the gate agent’s actions and cited a lack of available space on the aircraft.

The incident between Marlon Wayans and United Airlines has sparked a debate and drawn attention to the sometimes contentious relationship between passengers and airline personnel. 

Even though the two sides tell different stories, it is clear that there was a breakdown in communication that put Wayans in a bad situation.

Wayans had to deal with legal consequences, lost money, and missed professional obligations.
