Nipsey Hussle grandmother passed away on 22 October 2022. She was 92 years old before she died.
Nipsey Hussle’s family is mourning after losing their family. According to his family, Nipsey was the closest to his grandmother Margaret Boutte.
He considered his grandmother his own mother because she raised the young rap star and his brother, Blacc Sam.
Hussle told CBS2 in an interview, “I was raised by my mom and grandma. She was really big on keeping a tight family and big on love.”
His grandmother supported him during his early life and career. Hussle says that he was thankful for having a mom and grandmother who took great care of him.
The family was shocked when Nipsey died during a fatal shooting by Eric R. Holder Jr. in 2019. His grandmother deviated, but she showed compassion by taking the case to court.
After the mass shooting, the case was prolonged for three years. In July 2022, he was found guilty of shooting Nipsey Hussle.
Before his grandmother’s death, Boutte felt sorry for the young boy. She said that she cares for the child and prays that he doesn’t get killed in custody.
She said, “I’m praying for him too. I hope he does not get killed in custody. Have enough time to ask God for forgiveness.”
Boutte added, “I’m Catholic, I do believe in prayer, and I’m praying for him. He was a young, ignorant situation, and I’m hoping he’s sorry for what he did.“
Margaret lived for 92 years and was thankful to God for giving her life to see the rapper receive the star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in August 2022.
After her grandson received his star, she was emotional when she came on stage.
She said, “He was the love of my life. Always very respectful. I miss him, but I look at his picture and remember all the wonderful times we had together.”
She added that she thanked her daughter for blessing her to become the grandmother of Nipsey and Samuel and Samantha.
She concluded, “He will never be gone in my heart. He lives forever. Nipsey, I love you, I miss you.”
