Personal Statement
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to attend a school that can help me grow as an individual, both academically and athletically. I aim to attend a school that will set me on the correct path to meet and/or exceed my academic expectations to become a large animal veterinarian. I believe that I would be a good candidate for a collegiate team because I am dedicated, focused, determined, and I know that the only way for me to get better as a player and as an individual is by working hard and being open to inputs/comments/suggestions from my coach and from my team members, both good and bad. I am different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics because I know and I understand that no one is going to hand me a position on a team, an education, or a position in life. These things do not come free and they are only going to happen if I commit 110% to each and every thing that I do in life. I have chosen to focus my attention on my academics and my athletics in high school because those things are what will make me a successful adult in the future, as well as making me someone that my family can be proud of. I do not believe in most of the socially acceptable behaviors of my peers and I have chosen to lead myself down a different direction; by keeping myself, my family, my athletics, and my education as my priorities in my life.
