Personal Statement
It was on a bright energetic autumn day at Fair lawn high school when I led the
boys varsity soccer team onto our home pitch. The whole entire school was here
to support us in the Bergen cup final. On paper we were bound to win. We had
Eased through the whole tournament, dominating every team with high scores and
shut outs. I was one of the star players that everyone counted on to win us the
game, due to the fact that I had scored all the vital goals and got us into the
final in the first place. The game went by, and what felt like a few plays to
me, and I found myself listening to the refs whistle screech three blowing times
and one of our senior captains, crying on my shoulder. The crowd was dead silent
and the other team was parading around their new trophy. I've never felt more
disappointment in my entire life, this match Taught me many things, it taught me
to stay humble, never give up, never ease off the gas pedal and to never
underestimate my opponent. I strive for excellence. I'm not going to accept
defeat whether it's on the soccer field or in my field of study in business
management. I know I'm bound to succeed and make plenty of progress for your
University on the pitch and academically as well. Your university will be very
beneficial for me in numerous ways. I am extremely motivated to succeed at
everything I am a part of. Visualized through my progress in high school, I will
only continue to do great academically. I am very experience and have great
leadership qualities from being captain of not only my high school varsity team,
but as well as every club team I've ever played for in my entire life. It's a
fact that I will do wonders for your soccer team, because I am always open to
learn more new things from my coaches and fellow teammates. I will always except
what the coach tells me because he is more experienced than me and will only
make me better. Finally I am a top class player, I' m going to be one of the
greatest ever contributors to your university.
