Robert Eugene Ferebee was born on December 28, 1953 in Norfolk County to a loving mother Annie Mae Ferebee Cuffee.  He was blessed to be surrounded by a mother, grandmother, and great, grandfather who showed him what it truly meant to love and care for one another. That is what Robert was all about…showing love and support to all he knew.

Robert was educated in the Chesapeake Public School system and graduated with honors from Oscar Smith High.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Norfolk State University in Political Science with the honor of Magna Cum Laude.  He went on to receive a Masters of Divinity from Virginia Union University. Robert was employed by the Internal Revenue Service for thirty-one years, before retiring in December of 2015.  As his ministry grew and spread, Robert had no hesitations with sharing the word of God.  While at Norfolk State University Robert joined the prestigious fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity Incorporated.  Three things Robert loved dearly was God, his family, and his Kappa Alpha Psi brotherhood.  He was currently serving as chaplain for the Chesapeake/Virginia Beach Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.  A chapter where he was a charter member and co-founder.  Robert’s work and philanthropic activities with Kappa Alpha Psi and several other churches and organizations earned him numerous awards and recognitions

Robert leaves to cherish his memories his mother, (Annie Cuffee); seven brothers:  Thomas Ferebee (Paula), Anthony Ferebee, Robin Ferebee, Eugene Ferebee (Tracy), Horace Cuffee, Jr, Darien Cuffee, and Fredrick Cuffee (ATonya); two sisters, Ruth Ferebee, Shelley Cuffee; a very special niece Keesha Ferebee, and great nephew, Nathaniel Ferebee.  A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends will forever cherish memories of Robert.

Robert was truly the “Rainbow in our cloud for so many of us!
