Personal Statement

I want to play college soccer because I think that it would be a great supplement to my academic life. While playing soccer at the collegiate level, I will strive to push and better myself as well as my teammates to be the best people and team that we can be. I am a good candidate for any program because I am very focused on ensuring that my actions are in the best interest of the team, not me. I also am very coachable and welcome all feedback about my play as well as my actions. On the field, I have a very good vision of the game which allows me to see multiple passes in the future in order to guide myself and my play as well as my teammates, which leads me into my next trait, leadership. I am currently the captain of the Midland Fusion 03 Green boys team, and I hold many great leadership qualities. On and off the field I guide and offer suggestions to my teammates in order to better the function of the team as a whole. I am constantly communicating and that is one of the reasons I would be great for any program. I stand out from other recruits because not only am I very focused and intense in the classroom and on the field, which shows itself on my transcript and in my play, but I am also heavily involved in extra-curriculars, with some being Marching Band, NHS, and Go Green Club. I also have a part-time job as a USSF Referee, in which I referee recreational and travel youth soccer games on weekends during the Spring and Fall. All in all, I am the best candidate for your program because I am a very well-rounded student-athlete and I will always put the team first.
