Sean Sweeney Obituary, Death – Sadly, 45-year-old Sean L. Sweeney of Palmer Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 20, 2016. March 10, 1970, saw his birth in Glen Cove, New York. He was born into the family of the late John L. Sweeney of the Bronx and Barbara A. Devine Sweeney of Coffeyville, Kansas. Sean was a long-time supervisor of the stock department of Foster Wheeler in Clinton, New Jersey. Sean stood out as a kind, compassionate, intelligent, and charming young guy with a unique sense of humour in a household where laughter is highly valued.
Despite his great physical ambition and mental strength, his life was sadly cut short. Every time we think of Sean, we will be joyful and smiling. His siblings Denis Sweeney, Timothy Sweeney, Kathryn DiGirolamo, Sal, and Julia Sweeney of Easton, PA; his grandson Karter; his nieces Brianna, Bridget, and Erin DiGirolamo; and his nephew Anthony DiGirolamo will all be remembered. His mother, Brendan Sweeney and Felicia Oren of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Stroudsburg, PA, will also be remembered.
On Tuesday, January 26, 2016, visiting hours will begin at 9:45 AM at The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Twp., Pennsylvania. The funeral liturgy will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Twp., PA. Calling hours for the funeral home are scheduled for Monday, January 25, 2016, from 6 to 8 PM. The burial will take place at Palmer Township’s Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church may be accepted.
