The survivors are brave. .@Oprah is brave. The documentarians are brave. This is what brave is folks, standing against the grain, going against the norm, rocking the boat because sometimes it needs to be rocked. It is hard to hear truth, but that’s what growing pains are. #Brave

Reading through #LeavingNeverland is heartbreaking. As someone who endured child sexual abuse who plucked up courage to tell my mum only to be called a liar and never to say such things again I understand the damage being done to his victims all over again. Shut the fuck up!

As a survivor of child abuse, my heart breaks for these men. It is extremely difficult to go against an adult you love as a child. I applaud their courage of sharing their story. #ibelieveyou #LeavingNeverland

I'm in awe of the bravery it took for these two men to come forward and speak their truth in #LeavingNeverland. Breaks my heart that people are accusing them of lying – so ignorant & shameful. & unless you've watched the entire documentary – you are in no place to comment on it.

If you STILL think MJ isn't an abuser you can block me. I believe Gavin, Jurors at the 2005 trial believed Gavin. I believe James, I believe Jordy, I believe Wade. This isn't being taken seriously is because theyre men. MJ and R Kelly are abusers. Period. #LeavingNeverland

Tweets of disbelief at Leaving Neverland
Although many seemed shocked and upset by the allegations made in the documentary, some viewers were quick to come to Micheal’s defence.
Many tweeted out in support of the late pop star, speculating that the evidence given in documentary was faked or that the victims were lying.
Unpopular opinion but this #LeavingNeverland Michael Jackson documentary is complete bullshit. Imagine the amount of money these “victims” have been paid to lie.

The #LeavingNeverland documentary is purposefully graphic and goes into way too much detail. Because that's all they've got, stories. No evidence, just constantly changing stories, warping events and doctoring videos. Michael Jackson is innocent. Facts don't lie – but people do!

#LeavingNeverland is the biggest load of shit I’ve ever seen. Disgusting it’s allowed to be shown on tv, this is everthing that is wrong with this day and age. Innocent until proven guilty. And he was PROVEN innocent.

I’m actually disgusted that a certified icon who did so much for these kids is now being publicly ridiculed and accused on TV worldwide after his death cos some people are trying to cash in. No chance of him defending himself then, right? These lowlifes are evil #LeavingNeverland
