Shaun L. McDaniel 20 gained his wings on September 29, 2020. Shaun was born on June 25, 2000 to Stephanie Askew and Herman Whitaker in Chesapeake, VA.
He attended Oscar Smith High School. He was recently employed by Mid Atlantic Petroleum Services and about to enter an apprenticeship program at the shipyard. He loved playing games and working. Shaun had a bright smile and he would always light up a room with laughter.
He loved his family and friends and always tried to bring them together. We will always remember his laughter, his warming smile and most of all his love. Shaun always said, “Family Over Everything” and “Never Forget Loyalty.”
Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Stephanie Askew and Herman Whitaker; brothers, Ty McDaniel, Dalontae Artis, Herman White (niece Sariyah Jacobs) and sister, Shantel White. He is also survived by his grandparents, Bruce and Mary McDaniel and great grandparents, Patricia Woolwine and Bruce McDaniel (Carol) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his great grandparents, Margie (Granny) Rama, Donald (Pa-paw) Wooline, George and Lucille Whitaker.
