Shavo Odadjian is a songwriter, musician, music video director, music producer, and artist. He is best known as the bassist and backing vocalist for the metal band System of a Down. Born in Yerevan, Armenia in April 1974, Odadjian has a net worth of $20 million.
System of a Down formed in 1994 and has released five albums, three of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The band won a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2006 for their hit song “B.Y.O.B.” After going on hiatus, System of a Down got back together in late 2010.
During the band’s hiatus, Odadjian collaborated with RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan on the project AcHoZeN. He has also directed and edited music videos for System of a Down and scored films. Odadjian appeared on the George Clinton album George Clinton and His Gangsters of Love in 2008.
