The winner of Australia's Got Talent Season Five underwent surgery to remove a tumor behind his eye.
He was diagnosed with the tumor when he was just 17 years old. It was possibly life-threatening, and he had to go to an emergency operation to remove the tumor that was discovered behind his left eye in 2014. He informed his fans via a Facebook post on his page that he was contemplating whether to go public about his condition.
According to SBS News, he stated that he had to have an MRI, and the scan showed that there was a mass lesion behind his eye. He had his first surgery. However, the tumor may not have been fully removed, and if that was the case, he had to undergo another surgery.
He also shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed after the surgery, and his left eye appeared to be bruised. After a few months of his surgery, his MRI scan came all clear. After undergoing a life-threatening surgery, the singer has recovered and is back in the spotlight.
As of now, he is starring in a reality show called The Challenge: Australia, which is an installment of the Challenge franchise where the contestants have to survive elimination to win.
