Personal Statement

My name is Tristen Conner,  I am 16 years old and entering my senior year at Paradise High School.  I would like to take a minute and tell you about me and my plans for my future.  My college plan is to earn a agricultural business degree.  While working on my degree, my academic ambition is to be successful in the classroom so that I earn my degree with honors.  Being dyslexic, I have learned that it pays to work hard and keep trying.  That, to be successful, you cannot be lazy and by accepting this challenge, I am now an A/B student.

A goal of mine has always been to play football at the collegiate level and win championships with my team.  I would be an ideal candidate for your program because not only will I be committed to being a good student in the classroom but the best athlete I can be.  There is always room for me to improve on getting stronger and faster and I am willing to do whatever it takes.  I'm a quick learner and very coachable, helping me play different positions on both sides of the ball.  Offensively, I played receiver and running back.  Playing quarterback position was something new the coaches asked of me during my sophomore year.  This was a position which I had no previous training for but took the challenge that was asked of me.  On defense, I play outside linebacker.   Along with football I play baseball and run track.  I push myself to be mentally and physically tough in everything I do.

I strive every day to be a leader in and out of the classroom and on and off the field.  I would appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your remarkable program.
