Personal Statement
I am dedicated to pushing myself more and more each day on the court and in the classroom. Willing to learn and coachable describe me best. My character will speak for itself when you get to know me. In the classroom and on the court, I naturally lead, mediate problems and maintain a happy demeanor. A teacher commended me once for protecting her when two students got in a fighting match in her classroom. She was shaken, but my instinct told me to calm the angry students down and check on the teacher's well-being. I didn't do this for recognition; it was right thing.
Lastly, my opponents often comment that they work hard off the court because when they play me, I make them work. This summer an opponent asked me to play with his team for a tournament.
In short, I'm compassionate and focused. I am eager to improve as a scholar of the game.
