The couple has always been very private about their relationship, and they only revealed their daughter’s name over six months after her birth. 

Grint even waited until 2020 to make an Instagram account to share the news with his fans. 

He introduced his daughter to the world with a caption that read, “Hey Instagram….only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint.”

Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome, a British actress known for her work in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, welcomed their first and only child in early May 2020. 

The news of Groome’s pregnancy broke late in her term on April 10, 2020, and less than a month later, the couple announced the birth of their daughter, Wednesday. 

Wednesday G. Grint, as she is called, was named after the fictional character Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family.

Despite his iconic role as Ron Weasley, Grint revealed in a recent interview that his daughter doesn’t quite grasp that he’s Ron when they watch clips together. 

Nevertheless, he’s looking forward to watching the movies with her when she’s older and has even bought her her own Hogwarts house robes, with the obvious choice being Gryffindor.

While the couple has been private about their relationship, they released a statement through their rep when they announced Georgia’s pregnancy, asking for privacy. 

The news of their daughter’s birth broke just a few weeks later, and fans were thrilled to hear that the couple had welcomed their first child.

Since announcing the birth of their daughter, Grint has only shared one additional photo of her on his Instagram page, a sweet snap of her lounging in his chair on the set of his Apple+ series “Servant.”
