Arrest for Sexual Exploitation: What Happened to Jess Cliffe?

Jess Cliffe was arrested On February 2, 2018, on allegations of “sexual exploitation of a minor” in the Southwest Precinct of Seattle.

Cliffe allegedly met a girl online by taking the help of an adult website, SeekingArrangement.com, and paid her for an unconsent sexual date.

Cliffe claimed that he assumed he was paying a “matchmaking fee” on a dating website for adults. In the encounter, the girl proclaimed that Cliffe recorded her video of their meeting against her will” but that she also “refrained from saying anything.” Cliffe refused that he had never videotaped the encounter.

The girl, who was then 16 years old, informed investigators she spoke with Cliffe through text message. A police officer disclosed that Cliffe told officers he thought the girl was 23 years old, and the teenage girl said she wasn’t sure whether he knew about her age or if he actually misunderstood her age.

But it is also noted that in order to create an account on the SeekingArrangement.com website, you need to be at least 18 yeaars of age or older than that in your profile. The case began in May 2017 when the King County Sheriff’s Office got a Child Protective Services referral.
