Besides Leah Bolden's husband, her family consists of two children, who are all grown up.
But, unlike the craftswoman, her other family members keep themselves away from the spotlight. And, even Bolden prefers to be low-profile when it comes to her privacy.
The Kent State University alum enjoys home restoration projects and is an avid woodworker during her spare time. She resides with her family in Seattle, Washington.
From her younger days, she loved working with her hands and putting them to use. Since her junior high days, she has been opening doors for girls and women, as she was the first girl to join her school’s shop class. Aside from that, she has also dealt with a male-dominated workplace, as she initially worked as the only female in her previous company and broke through barriers coming her way.
Leah Bolden Previous Work Experience
Leah Bolden ventured in to the professional world as a vice president of AFSCME local 1355 and joined the company in 2004. She left the local 1455 in 2008 after working for four years.
Side by side, she also worked as a carpenter and Journeyman Plasterer at CMHA and served here for nearly 20 years before putting an end to her job at CMHA.
In November 2008, Bolden switched to NTEU and worked in the capacity of Project Field Organizer. She later left the job in 2011 after working for 2 years and nine months.
Another opportunity knocked on her door in 2011 which offered her the role of Pre-Apprenticeship Trades Instructor served as an on-site subject matter expert in the skilled trades, to prepare women pre-apprentices for entry into JATC-based construction apprenticeship programs.
Lastly, in 2013, Leah Bolden co-founded her own channel which has become a globally known name.
