Personal Statement
My name is William Russell but I prefer to go by the nickname of Tyler. I have been playing volleyball since I was 7 years old on Maui and Oahu in Hawaii. I have tons of experience in beach volleyball with my twin brother which has helped develop my indoor game. I aspire to play at a higher level in college and eventually work towards an opportunity to make it pro.
I thrive both on and off the court due to the fact that I apply myself in school with a top GPA and strong mental game. I have a great positive attitude and calm under pressure. I try my hardest with no complaints while on the court. No matter what college I go to, I can be counted on to be the best by training hard on and off the court.
I qualified for MIL 2019 Div II All-Stars II team. I am pretty sure our high school team would have made it to first place in Regionals and State finals this year if we did not have to cancel season. I am a HP A1 indoor and beach player. This next season will be a breakout year.
