Personal Statement

I am  Zachary Abbott and I have been playing Lacrosse for the past 10 years.  I am a junior at San Ramon Valley High School, in Danville California.

Though I started at the attack position, I have been playing goalie for the past 7 years. I have been focused on lacrosse ever since I touched a stick and I continually practice to better my skills. I aspire to play lacrosse at the collegiate level, whatever level that may be. I have been on the Varsity team at my division 1 high school since my freshman year. I was the starting goalie in North Coast Section (NCS) as a freshman.  I have made it a point to practice daily, and I am a natural leader on and off the lacrosse field.  I lead from my goal and direct my teammates effectively and appropriately.

I have been on high-level teams for many years and am willing to accept all training. I am teachable, and I strive to be the best player I can be.  Currently I am working as a goalie coach through my local Lacrosse youth league. For the past few years I have been on Team Booth, which is one of the best travel teams in Northern California. As a team, we travel the country playing the game we love.  We have been to many tournaments from Maryland to Texas to California and more.  We are always competitive and work hard for each other.

It is my goal to continue to play Lacrosse at the highest level possible, while making my education a priority.
